Innsbruck Private Tour
Private Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll meet in the city center to begin this private tour of Innsbruck, where we’ll discover its most iconic landmarks. Ready? Let’s go!
From our meeting point, we’ll walk to the Golden Roof, Innsbruck’s most famous symbol. Built with 2,657 gilded copper tiles, this balcony was designed by Emperor Maximilian I to watch the festivals in the square below.
Next, we’ll stop in front of the Imperial Palace to admire the grandeur of the exterior of the former residence of the Tyrolean royalty, a display of Baroque and Rococo styles that evokes the dynasty’s imperial past.
We’ll continue our tour by visiting the Court Church, a masterpiece of Renaissance Gothic architecture. Inside this church stands the impressive mausoleum of Maximilian I, surrounded by 28 life-size bronze statues. We’ll also visit St. James’s Cathedral, home to the famous painting “Maria Hilf” by Lucas Cranach the Elder, one of Tyrol’s most cherished religious artworks.
Finally, we’ll stroll down the main avenue, Maria-Theresien-Straße, flanked by 17th- and 18th-century buildings, where the St. Anne’s Column stands and offers the best views of the northern mountains.
Lastly, we’ll head to the iconic Triumphal Arch, where we’ll say goodbye after a 2-hour tour of Innsbruck.
